  • Good Evening MacArthur Ponies,

    Library Curbside Checkout will begin the week of September 14.  Students and parents can go online to our library catalog to place books on hold.  Those reserved books can then be picked up on Mondays for elementary students and Wednesdays for middle school students from 10:00 am to 12 pm.  This Library Curbside Checkout will continue each week until we are physically back on campus.  An explanation on how to put books on hold and the drive up, curbside procedures can be found on our MacArthur website.

    Military parents, please check your emails or your child's Schoology courses for a link to fill out a contact information questionnaire. This information is being gathered by our Military Family Liaison."

    Device distribution for 4th grade students will be this Wednesday September 16 and 5th grade distribution will be Thursday September 17th.  Both will be in the Faculty parking lot from 2:00-4:00 pm.  You must bring the device currently assigned along with the cord to exchange for your new device.

  • Health Care Heroes: Silva LVN candidates help administer COVID vaccine to El Pasoans

    Eight Silva Health Magnet students are among the health care workers administering the life-saving COVID-19 vaccine to thousands of El Pasoans at the El Paso County Coliseum. The LVN candidates are there as part of a collaboration with University Medical Center professionals who are mentoring the future health care workers.

    Franklin senior and swim team captain Juan Carlos Tanabe is headed to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in the fall to live his dream of serving his country. Attending West Point has been a longtime dream for this this military child.

In this edition, we speak with Franklin High's Angel Gato, an Air Force JROTC cadet who is earning his pilot license and hopes to make it to space one day.
