    Assistant Superintendent Information Security & Technology

    Mr. Manny Verduzco has been the district’s Assistant Superintendent of Information Security and Technology since October 2022.  

    Verduzco has more than 30 years of experience in information technology. He oversees El Paso ISD’s Information Technology unit, which builds and maintains the systems and infrastructure that support the district’s educational frameworks. 

    Before joining El Paso ISD, Verduzco served as the chief technology officer at the Clint and Socorro school districts. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a Master Degree in Business Administration and Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

  • Jesus Corral

    Director of Technology Services Applications  

     

    Jesus PictureMr. Jesus Corral, a longtime school technology expert, has more than 19 years of experience in the El Paso Independent School District. He began his EPISD career as an Administrator Systems Manager in January 2005. He was promoted to Director of Technology Services Applications in February 2017, where he continues serving until today. He oversees Student Systems, Web and Business Solutions.

    Mr. Corral grew up in El Paso and proudly graduated from Irvin High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Texas at El Paso. His expertise and leadership continue to place our district as one of the leading districts when it comes to technology.

  • Sal Cabrera

    Director of IT Operations

    Mr. Sal Cabrera is the district's Director of IT Operations as of June 2023.  

    Mr. Cabrera has 14 years in education and information technology.  He oversees the direction and oversight of the enterprise infrastructure and systems of the El Paso ISD to include network, telecommunications, systems, applications, helpdesk, data center services and surveillance and security.

    Before joining EPISD, Mr. Cabrera served as the Director of Enterprise Information at Clint ISD.  He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and a Master Degree in Educational Administration from UTEP. He is a certified educator and administrator in Texas.
