Our School

Cooley Elementary is a campus that is located in South Central El Paso.  Our school is part of the Jefferson/Silva feeder pattern. Our campus is a Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade campus, in addition to having two PPCD units, that serves a population of approximately 420 students. We are a dual language campus servicing students within this program from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Our school also has an orchestra program for 5th grade students, as well as a general music education class for all grade levels on campus.  In addition, our campus is also part of the Kid's Excel program that engages students in the fine arts while reinforcing core content subject areas through performance opportunities.  Our campus was also invited during the 2016-2017 school year to become part of the El Paso Community Foundation's Active Learning through Fine Arts initiative (ArtSTREAM).  We are also a campus that is part of the district's Active Learning Framework to bring a focus on Project Based Learning, active learning concepts, and a blended learning approach in the classrooms.  Cooley Elementary also became part of the newest Social Emotional Learning Cohort where we will be focusing on working with each other on our self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decsion-making, and relationship skills.
