A message from our Principal,
Welcome to the new Zach White web page. I am overjoyed to be the principal of a school where all students have an opportunity to grow, learn, and develop into our future leaders. Our students represent a true cross section of society and work together to become the best that they can be. Education is valued and all teachers work hard to deliver quality instruction designed to meet the individual needs of every student.
The faculty and staff of Zach White work diligently to ensure that all children, every day are valued and respected. It is a fundamental belief that for children to grow into responsible, well rounded, and effective adults as elementary students they must learn about character, safety, and respect. At Zach White we are implementing “Social Emotional Learning” SEL. This program provides opportunities for every student to have a voice not related to academic learning. We are also a PBIS school with a focus on positive behaviors. When children can show empathy and understanding towards one another negative behaviors decrease.
During the school year parents have an opportunity to see orchestra performances, a talent show, art shows, GT fairs (which show case our Connection students), visit with and have Coffee with the Principal, participate in our Veteran’s Day event, and come to the Thanksgiving luncheon. Students programs include the 3rd grade garden project, Student Council, the Connections program, enrichment programs, library, Reading with the Dogs, orchestra, art, regular visits to the technology labs, education classes lead by the counselor and Active Learning.
I invite the Zach White community to become involved in our amazing school. When parents, educators, and community members work together for children, children grow learn and excel.
