Logan Elementary is located on the Northeast side of El Paso. Logan Elementary was named after General John A. Logan, who is the founder of the Memorial Day order. General Logan fought both in the Mexican War and the Civil War. Returning home after the Civil War, General Logan was very concerned for veterans, which led him to take part in Illinois' fist veterans memorial services. In 1868, Memorial Day became a national holiday.
Here at Logan Elementary we still support our military services members and surrounding community by creating and maintaining a nurturing environment to provide each child an opportunity to be their best each and everyday.
