Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Logan Elementary!
I have been the principal at Logan since 2018. I have been an educator with EPISD for 36 years. I served the District as an elementary and middle school teacher and was a finalist for the EPISD Teacher of the Year in 1991. I have also been an elementary and middle school counselor and served high school students in the EPISD First Chance Program at Austin, Chapin, and Irvin High Schools. I have been an administrator in EPISD for 17 years, and I was the principal at Schuster Elementary prior to returning to Logan Elementary as principal. My first administrative position was as assistant principal at Logan Elementary in 2005.
My educational background includes having earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with concentrations in reading, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances from Bemidji State University, Bemidji, MN in 1987. I received a Master of Education Degree in Guidance and Counseling from UTEP in 2000 and completed the Principal's Certification Program at UTEP in 2005.
My husband is a retired educator who served as an elementary and middle school teacher in EPISD for 30 years. We have one son who is a software engineer and a proud graduate of Chapin High School and UTEP.
I believe that education is key to a happy and productive life. It is my goal to help parents and students access quality educational programs to ensure a successful future for each and every student. Here at Logan Elementary we seek to ensure students are afforded outstanding educational opportunities daily throughout the school year. We look forward to seeing our students here each and every day to receive the full benefit of all available opportunities.
See you at Logan!
