New this year, EPISD, a Texas Certified District of Innovation, is proud to announce that the Board of Trustees has approved the EPISD SELF-FUNDED HEALTH PLAN.
This NEW EPISD SELF-FUNDED HEALTH PLAN is an alternative to the TRS-AC Health Plan offering significant savings over the current plan. Coverage is effective September 1, 2019. For more information about your benefits and this new option, click on the CIGNA tab.
In addition to the NEW EPISD SELF-FUNDED HEALTH PLAN OPTIONS, the Board of Trustees has increased the employer paid Basic Life Benefit from $10,000 to $20,000 effective September 1, 2019; and EPISD is kicking off two new wellness initiatives: Wellbeats and finpath, now available.

Remember, if you have a change in family status (e.g. divorce, marriage, birth, death, loss of coverage, etc.) and need to change your coverage, you must present the information to Employee Benefits and complete a written request to change coverage within 31 days of the event. Documentation of the event (e.g. Certificate of Creditable Coverage (COCC), Birth Fact, Final Divorce Decree etc.) is required before the request can be processed.
