This morning will be a difficult one for the students and staff at Tippin Elementary. Classes will resume but not without the assistance from our counselors who will be on hand to help the children and adults who are grieving after the tragic events from yesterday.

I want to thank the Tippin family for coming together during these trying times. Their solidarity and willingness to help is a testament to the spirit of community that exists there. I have heard from many people who witnessed parents who stepped in to help assist students and tend to the injured. Their actions bring a glimpse of light to an otherwise difficult situation.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families of those who were affected by the tragic accident, and with the students and teachers at Tippin who today return to school.
