• It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself, my name is Armando Llanos and I am going to serve as your new Principal here at Travis Elementary. I have worked as an Education leader with EPISD for 16 years at schools across the district from the central part of town to far northeast and the west side. I earned my Bachelors and Master's degrees at The University of Texas at El Paso. My parents retired from the military and made El Paso their home many years ago and El Paso has been my home ever since.

    I have made it my commitment this year to focus on three issues for the betterment of Travis Elementary. First is the safety of our students. The second is a positive climate throughout the school and the third is raising the level of academics success for our students.

    Please join me and all our teachers at Travis to having a great new year. With the help of the community and a joint venture with all parents at Travis Elementary we can ensure the success of all our students and making this a great year.
