El Paso ISD’s 2024 Summer Learning Program is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students and families. Students who attend will receive high-quality instruction that’s both interactive and engaging. Optional afternoon enrichment activities are available to elementary and middle school students in topics such as Fine Arts and Technology.Breakfast and lunch will be served daily to all attendees. Transportation is available for those who qualify.
Our summer programming is by invitation only and offered at no cost to the parent. Campuses will be sending out invitations soon!

Summer school programming includes courses developed for academic intervention, credit recovery, educational enrichment, and high school level course acceleration. Some programs have specific qualification criteria and require an invitation to participate. Fresh air and fun in the sun with friends meets endless opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, and personal growth. BE A KID and get involved, get crafty and get active!

ELEMENTARY

Pre-K/Pre - 1st EL Program
This program serves our emergent bilingual students who have completed PK4 or kindergarten. The focus of the program will be to build foundational skills and language development. Students will attend all day, with breakfast and lunch served, and available transportation at no cost to the parent.

Reading & Math Intervention
All kindergarten through 5th-grade students attending will receive daily instruction in Math and Reading in 90-minute blocks in the morning. The activities will be interactive and reinforce foundational skills in both English and Spanish. Students who attend will have the choice to stay each afternoon to take part in enrichment activities in areas such as Fine Arts and Technology. Breakfast and lunch will be served daily. Transportation is available to those who qualify.Campuses will notify parents of those students invited to attend.
MIDDLE

Reading & Math Intervention
All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders attending will receive daily instruction in Math and Reading in 90-minute blocks in the morning. Credit Recovery
Credit Recovery allows students the opportunity to earn credit in courses that they were unsuccessful in during the previous semester. Student learning will be encouraged by the classroom teacher who will be available to answer questions and monitor progress.Breakfast and lunch will be served daily. Transportation is available to those who qualify.EOC Intervention
Students will receive instruction from core content teachers in the lead-up to Summer EOC Testing. In partnership with El Paso Community College, we will offer the following Dual Credit courses taught face-to-face by credentialed instructors at no cost. Please note the schedule and locations for Dual Credit, as it differs from other Summer School programs:Dates: June 12 - July 12 (no classes June 19, July 3, and July 4)Times: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.Transportation to the host sites will be provided. Healthful food is vital for high-energy, growing kids. El Paso ISD Food and Nutrition Services is proud to offer delicious meals that provide the essential nutrition that students need in order to be ready to learn.Summer school campus cafeterias will offer breakfast and lunch at no cost to children who are ages 1 to 18 and live in the community. Come ride with us! The El Paso ISD Transportation Department provides students with safe, professional and efficient transportation. Pick-up locations will be at the student’s home school.
