El Paso ISD Education Foundation awards more than $85K in scholarships to Class of 2023 students
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – May 23, 2023) – The El Paso ISD Education Foundation and its partner funders awarded more than $85,000 in scholarships to the Class of 2023 on Monday during a special signing ceremony at Burges High School.
The scholarships were made possible through the generosity of El Paso ISD employees, partner funders and donors including Raiz Federal Credit Union, El Paso Electric, Cigna, First Financial Group of America, Varitec Solutions, Mounce Green Myers, Hilltop Securities, Hellas Construction, PC Automated Controls, Sherwin-Williams, State Farm and Grand Canyon University. All Education Foundation Scholarships and Raiz Federal Credit Union Scholarships are for $1,000. Students who receive scholarships from a partner funder will be of varying amounts.
“We are grateful for the commitment and contribution of our sponsors who are making scholarships possible for the Class of 2023,” said Education Foundation Board President Russell Wiggs. “Through our scholarships, we hope to encourage and support students to pursue high education.”
