Air Force JROTC skill days and fitness training goes virtual
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT -- Oct. 22, 2020) — The U.S. Air Force Army USAF Reserve Officer Training Corps will have virtual skill days and candidate fitness assessments throughout the 2020-21 school year. The next session will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
These meetings benefit students from seventh to 12th grades as well as college students & airmen. The sessions also give students an opportunity to do a run-through on the Candidate Fitness Assessment. Those who are official candidates, may take the exam for record. The meetings are not mandatory but are recommended for those interested in obtaining an appointment to the Academy or receiving an ROTC scholarship.
Virtual meetings will continue throughout the school year via Zoom on the following dates: Nov. 15, Dec. 13, Jan. 24 and Feb. 21. The monthly meetings will be held between 8 to 9:30 a.m. Workout clothes with gym shoes or casual clothing.
