El Paso ISD graduation ceremonies begin Friday, June 9
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 8, 2023) – More than 3,500 El Paso ISD seniors will walk across the stage from Friday, June 9, through Wednesday, June 14, throughout 13 ceremonies this graduation season including the inaugural class of the Young Women’s STEAM Research and Preparatory Academy.
El Paso ISD’s class of 2023 is expected to exceed more than $100 million in scholarships this year. Graduates earned military appointments and acceptance to Ivy League colleges and many other prestigious universities throughout the United States.
The College, Career and Technology Academy’s 148 graduates kick off graduation season with a ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday in El Paso High School’s majestic theater. El Paso High School follows CCTA with its traditional ceremony at 7 p.m. in its historic R.R. Jones Stadium. Graduations resume Monday, June 12, at the University of Texas at El Paso’s Don Haskins Center with the exception of Transmountain Early College High School and YWA. Both classes will graduate at Magoffin Auditorium.
The first class of YWA includes a QuestBridge Scholar, an Impact Scholar, a Terry Scholar, and recipients of the UTEP Presidential Scholarship, the Regents Scholarship and the National Science Foundation Scholarship. The 27 graduates amassed nearly $2 million in scholarships.

• YWA – 11:30 a.m., Magoffin Auditorium
• Bowie High School – 2 p.m., Don Haskins Center
• Coronado High School – 6 p.m., Don Haskins Center
June 14
• Irvin High School – 9 a.m., Don Haskins Center
• Transmountain Early College High School – 11:30 a.m., Magoffin Auditorium
• Austin High School – 2 p.m., Don Haskins Center
• Chapin High School – 6 p.m., Don Haskins Center
