Welcome!
A message from our Principal, Mrs. Gamez-Alvarado:
I am ecstatic and grateful to begin my journey as your new Stanton Stallion Principal! I was born and raised in El Paso and am a proud product of EPISD, having attended Douglas Elementary School, Ross Middle School, and Burges High School. I graduated with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from UTEP. I have been in the field of education for 14 years and have served as an English Language Arts teacher, Testing Coordinator, and Assistant Principal for discipline as well as Guidance & Instruction.
As partners in your child’s education, we ask that you support your child by ensuring that they attend school daily, complete homework assignments, read daily to develop a love for reading, and share learning experiences with you in case they need additional support from us. Our teachers set high academic standards and are committed to providing all supports necessary to help our Stallions succeed academically and thrive emotionally.
I look forward to serving my Stallions and our community. Working together and maintaining open channels of communication will help us achieve the highest levels of support for our students. I am committed to serving this wonderful community with the dedication, respect, and honor that it deserves. My priority as Stanton Principal is to work hand in hand with our faculty, staff, parents, and community to create an enriched, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students can thrive.
