Who can apply to Jefferson's P-TECH?

Any current EPISD 8th grader can apply.

Does P-TECH take 2024/2025 transfer students?

Yes, in-district and out-of-district incoming 9th graders can apply for P-TECH.

What do I have to do before enrolling in Jefferson's P-TECH?

Students within the EPISD district will have to complete the 2024/2025 application here.

Transfer students - the EPISD transfer registration process must be completed here - before enrolling with our P-TECH.

Students accepted into the program will receive notification of acceptance via phone, email, and/or acceptance letter.

Are there any entrance exams?

No, there are no exams necessary. Taking the TSI2 is recommended. Currently, Jefferson High School is working on extending opportunities for 8th grade students to take the TSI2 when accepted into PTECH. The TSI2 is a college entry exam that students will take in order to be able to take college credited courses. 

Can I still engage in athletics and extra-curricular activities at Jefferson HS?

Of course you can!!!
