Matt Bennett was born in Compton, California, where poverty, crime, pain and death nearly destroyed him. However, refusing to be destroyed by depression and despair, Matt decided to fight for the kind of life that he had always dreamed about. He picked up his grades, graduated from high school, and became the first man in his family to graduate from college.

He has worked for Social Services in Los Angeles, managing a 1,200-person caseload; he has volunteered in youth and adult prisons for several years, teaching life-skills and entrepreneurship to inmates throughout California and Uganda, Africa; and, he has served as a mentor for several at-risk young men. Now, in addition to all those things, he is a speaker for Ink International.

Matt Bennett has channeled his pain into purpose, and has given his life to helping others. Having spoken in almost 300 middle and high schools, youth and adult prisons, to thousands of people, Matt Bennett is quickly becoming the speaker of choice.
