Provide support through coaching and planning with UTEP Teacher Residents and Mentors.  Collaborate with UTEP and principals to ensure Teacher Residents are day one ready.

Goals:
   * Immerse UTEP Teacher Residents into a yearlong clinical experience.
   * Teacher Residents will observe, learn, and teach on the job, working alongside a Mentor Teacher.
   * Actively engage Teacher Residents in as many elements of a classroom teacher.
   * Prepare Teacher Residents to be well-rounded and marketable, and to be hired by EPISD at the end of their residency.

Purpose:
Teacher Residents are to be assigned to mentor teachers so that they are able to collaborate and learn the ins and outs of being a classroom teacher.  Throughout their residency, Teacher Residents will acquire skills to teach students on their own, generating lesson plans, monitoring and adjusting to student data, to meet the needs of every child in the classroom.
