Our department also serves students who must remain in the hospital for an extended period of time. This ensures that students who are ill or injured can continue to receive a quality education at one of our residential facilities. When a student is admitted to one of our residential facilities: El Paso Behavior Health (EPBHS) orEl Paso Psychiatric Center(EPPC),parents are given the option to have students continue to attend school. Teachers from the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) provide core area instruction daily. For students currently enrolled in EPISD, attendance and grades are provided directly to their home campus. EPISD will assist parents of out-of-district students with enrollment to EPISD temporarily, while their child is in the hospital and upon discharge, submitting paperwork to have them re-enrolled at their home school. Our goal is to ensure all students admitted to EPBHS, EPPC, or any hospital within EPISD boundaries, continue with their education, while taking care of their medical needs.
